“I wanted to create an editorial portfolio that felt authentic, but unique from my previous work.”

Ava’s session was built around creating that distinction: combining expressive portraiture, styling and changes in lighting and composition to create a body of work that still felt recognisably her, while expanding the visual range of her portfolio.

On the experience: “I felt very comfortable on set despite having never previously met Kate. It was relaxed, collaborative and gave me creative freedom. Kate was very prepared and welcoming, with a great eye for photography.”
